COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Luke Kennard scored 30 points to help the United States rout Uruguay 156-58 on Friday night in the Americans' first game in the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship.

Kennard, from Franklin, Ohio, was 7 of 12 from 3-point range to tie the U.S. U18 record for attempts.

Jalen Brunson of Lincolnshire, Illinois, set the U.S. record for assists in the event with 13, and the team broke marks for points, margin of victory (98 points), field goals (59) and assists (40).
