ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Angels have recalled infielder Grant Green from Triple-A Salt Lake.
The Angels sent reliever Dane De La Rosa back to Salt Lake on Friday.
Green batted .359 in 22 games with the Angels earlier this season, but was sent down June 7 after manager Mike Scioscia struggled to find playing time for him.
Green started at second base and in left field for the Angels. He also played third base and first base in the minors.
De La Rosa has an 11.57 ERA in three appearances for the Angels. He has missed 54 games this season with various right arm injuries.
Los Angeles optioned infielder Ian Stewart to Salt Lake. He had been on the disabled list since May 12 with a bruised left hand.
