LAS VEGAS (AP) — A man is dead and three women are wounded after a shooting involving at least two assailants who police say knocked on the door of an eastside Las Vegas town house.

Las Vegas police Lt. Ray Steiber says investigators are looking for the gunmen after the shooting about 11 a.m. Friday at the home on Heritage Court, near Sahara Avenue and Mojave Road.

The women who were in the town house when they were wounded were taken to hospitals where their identities and conditions weren't immediately made public.

Steiber says a woman in an adjacent unit was hurt by gunfire or debris. Her injury is described as minor.

Descriptions of the assailants weren't immediately available.

Steiber says the men asked for a person who wasn't there before opening fire.
