BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 32-year-old Boise motorist who struck a bicyclist has pleaded guilty to felony leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury or death.
Gavin Bradford Haley made the plea Tuesday in 4th District Court.
Fifty-three-year-old Victor Haskell of Boise died after being struck about 12:15 a.m. on Sept. 26 on State Street in Boise.
Police say Haley was driving home from a bar in a Land Rover when he struck Haskell.
Haley says he knew he hit something but when he stopped and looked he didn't see anyone.
Police say the impact knocked Haskell into a pit where his body was found about eight hours later.
Sentencing is set for Sept. 12. Haley faces up to five years in prison.
