IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Teton County Sheriff Tony Liford and a pedestrian received minor injuries in a hit-and-run accident and 12-minute pursuit that ended in the arrest of a Driggs woman. Authorities say shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, the sheriff's office received a report of a female pedestrian who was struck in Driggs. The Post Register reports that a chase ensued and at one point Liford was struck.

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Political infighting and disputes over parliamentary procedures has delayed the last day of the Idaho GOP convention from selecting a new state party chairman and amending its party platform. Hundreds of Idaho Republicans met yesterday in Moscow, Idaho. Tea party forces and establishment candidates have spent most of the convention fighting over control of the party.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare says mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus have been found in Payette County. It is the first detection of West Nile in Idaho this year. The agency says the virus was found in mosquitoes trapped southeast of Payette. West Nile is usually contracted from the bite of an infected mosquito.

HAILEY, Idaho (AP) — A central Idaho man initially charged with felony poisoning of animals has pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. The Idaho Mountain Express reports that 52-year-old Kevin E. Wilson of Hailey made the plea Tuesday in 5th District Court. He's been placed on unsupervised probation for six months. Three dogs became sick in November after eating meet they found in a driveway in Hailey. All three recovered.
