TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed third-round draft pick Charles Sims.

Terms of the deal Thursday weren't disclosed.

The running back spent four years at Houston before playing for West Virginia in 2013 and being named co-Big 12 newcomer of the year by rushing for 1,095 yards and 11 touchdowns. He rushed for 3,465 yards and 40 TDs on 592 carries for the Cougars and Mountaineers, while also catching 203 passes for 2,108 yards and 11 TDs.
