SEATTLE (AP) -- Former Utah Jazz assistant coach Gordie Chiesa has a new job.
The Seattle SuperSonics have hired Chiesa to join coach Bob Hill's staff.
Chiesa spent 16 seasons working as an assistant coach for the Utah Jazz. Last season, Chiesa worked for part of the season as an assistant for the New Jersey Nets.
Before joining the Jazz in 1989, Chiesa coached at the college level at St. Thomas Aquinas, Dartmouth, Manhattan and Providence.
