ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) — The Grays Harbor, Washington, Coroner says a mother and daughter from Idaho died early today in a raging house fire in Washington state where three others were rescued. Dan Burns says the women were 54 and 26. He did not release their identities pending notification of relatives.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise police have one person in custody and are looking for another in connection with a shooting at a home last night that killed two people and injured a third. The relationship between those involved isn't clear. The three victims were taken to hospitals, but police this morning said two of them died. Names and the condition of the remaining victim haven't been released.
PAYETTE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say a man who was injured in a shootout with an Idaho sheriff's deputy has died. Payette County Sheriff Chad Huff told the Argus Observer that Jose Rodriguez-Moncada died last night. The deputy was struck in the leg during the exchange of gunfire, but has been treated and released from a Boise hospital.
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A former bookkeeper and driver's license supervisor at the Jefferson County Sheriff's office has filed a sexual discrimination suit against Sheriff Blair Olsen. Lee says Olsen retaliated after she expressed concerns about what Lee saw as Olsen's misuse of public funds and unequal treatment of employees.
