(KSL News) -- The Cadillac Escalade is receiving a dubious distinction, But not for it's classy style and high price tag.
For the fourth year in a row, the luxury S-U-V tops the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Most Stolen List.
Why? The institute says the Escalade carries a lot of steal appeal. Besides rear-seat D-V-D systems, the Escalade is marketed as a hip car, driven by everyone from rappers to N-F-L stars.
Mitsubishi's Lancer Evolution placed second and the Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab pickup rounded out the top three.
Good news if you're diving a Ford Taurus, it was the least likely stolen vehicle in the survey. Crooks also aren't so hot for Pontiac Vibe four-wheel drive, Buick LeSabres or Park Avenues.
