The title of this blog is a quote from Toy Story. For us today it basically means sometimes there's just something behind the scenes that makes everything go wrong. Like when I've loaded all the soundbites and features in the computer for Grant and Amanda to play. I double-check. But then Amanda pushes play and one disappears. Grrrr. Then this morning, if you were listening to Doug Wright's show, you may have heard Andy Farnsworth sing his own traffic music sounder at around 9:19. Our audio system went down and we couldn't play any music or commercials or anything. Panic! Engineers quickly got the system back up, but not without a casualty. At the very time of the meltdown, Channel Five's Jed Boal was taping a phone interview into the system with a Red Cross volunteer in Indonesia. The whole thing was blitzed. Crestfallen is an understatement. But through all this we stay on the air and do what we can!
Chaning the subject for an exciting one -- our reporter Randall Jeppesen is on the way to the Arizona-Mexico border. He'll be reporting live and talking with the Utah troops there this Thursday and Friday.
