ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. (AP) — A man killed when he crashed his car through the wall of a garage and down a steep cliff at Lake Tahoe has been identified.
The Douglas County sheriff's office says 55-year-old Jeffrey Alan Davis of Zephyr Cove died of blunt force trauma on Friday when his car plowed through the back wall of his residential garage.
The vehicle plunged 80 feet before coming to rest against a tree. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers said Davis was backing his car into the garage at the time.
Sgt. Pat Brooks on Monday said investigators are still trying to determine what caused the accident.
