LAS VEGAS (AP) — Two California men each have been sentenced to eight years in prison for transporting minor girls from northern California to work as prostitutes in Las Vegas.
U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden says 27-year-old Andrew West and 20-year-old Ray Webb are both from Hayward, but were involved in separate operations.
West pleaded guilty in January to one count of transportation of a minor for prostitution.
Webb also pleaded guilty in January to one count of coercion and enticement.
Bogden says West was working with a 16-year-old girl from San Jose. Webb recruited a 12-year-old girl from Oakland.
