SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — This week's fatal shooting of a gang member by a U.S. marshal inside Salt Lake City's federal courthouse during the man's trial has put the spotlight on his relatively unknown street gang. Authorities say the 25-year-old Siale Angilau was a member of the city's "Tongan Crip Gang." The gang ascribes to the "Crip" culture, wearing blue and viewing "Bloods" as rivals.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Some Utah prosecutors have been surveying police to determine if officers they may rely on to build a court case have been caught lying. A Davis County Attorney started sending questionnaires to law enforcement last week. He says the practice could save his office from having a case thrown out or threatened by questions about police credibility.

OPAL, Wyo. (AP) — A small town in southwest Wyoming has been evacuated after an explosion and fire at a natural gas pipeline hub. A Lincoln County spokesman says there are no reports of injuries and the residents of Opal have been evacuated to an area about 3 miles outside the town as a precaution.
