This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Can you imagine in a million years starting an audio speaker company? You'd think with all the tech and audio products on the market already that it would be a little saturated. But Del Williams didn't think so, which is why he launched Beacon Audio in Salt Lake City.

Del has an extensive background in music and production for some major acts across the U.S. He has felt passion for this industry for a long time. Even with so many products, he still felt there was a definite need and a hole in the product arena. His newest company, Beacon Audio, is now producing the hottest and coolest wireless speakers available with a dedicated focus the college market.

Beacon Audio is producing Bluetooth-enabled wireless speakers. This means you can take the music on your portable device with you wherever you go. They offer two sizes, the Phoenix II, small enough to be tucked into your backpack or carry bag for the ultimate mobility or the Blazar (blay-zarr) which is a bigger and is meant for a more permanent location, like your home or office.

They already have a presence in college bookstores at the U of U, BYU, UVU, Weber State University and USU. They're also in Simply Mac and are rapidly expanding to other colleges across the nation. You can also check them out at beaconaudio.com.

Anytime you get into a product that complements items like smart phones or portable mp3 players it's going to be competitive with head-to-head comparisons to other brands. The key to staying ahead, Del says, is to make sure you have the best product. Beacon Audio has done extensive quality control testing to make sure their speakers are louder with better sound quality, made with the best materials and the longest battery life.

This is not just a product for Millennials either because with 16 hours of battery life, even mom and dad or grandma and grandpa would want to bring Beacon Audio's wireless speakers to listen to Vivaldi's Four Seasons or other favorite tunes in a remote location.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
