PITTSBURGH (AP) — First baseman Lyle Overbay has been placed on the paternity leave list by the Milwaukee Brewers.
Milwaukee recalled infielder-outfielder Elian Herrera from Triple-A Nashville before Thursday's game against Pittsburgh.
Overbay can spent up to three consecutive days on the list under major league rules. He is hitting .100 with three RBIs in 10 games.
Herrera hit .250 with two RBIs and two stolen bases in 12 games for Nashville. The Brewers claimed him off waivers Nov. 4 from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
