IndyCar driver Saavedra fined $10K

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — IndyCar has fined driver Sebastian Saavedra $10,000 and placed him on probation through the Indianapolis 500 for a rules violation at Long Beach.

Saavedra failed to yield to a safety vehicle and personnel during Sunday's race.

His probation ends after the May 25 Indy 500.
