At last, an innovative way to light up highways has made its debut in the Netherlands. These light-absorbing glow-in-the-dark roads provide a unique form of visibility for motorists. Using a photo luminescent powder applied to roadways, engineers have now replaced streetlights on at least one stretch of highway. The design studio behind this innovation has more ideas, too, like having weather markings on the road, and snowflakes lighting up the street when the temperature drops to a certain level.

Microsoft is looking at ways to make it easy for anyone to work with 3D images. They've come up with a scanner for a simple Windows phone camera that can scan someone's face in full 3D. Once the imaging is complete, the likeness is completely maneuverable in a three dimensional space. The phone can be connected to a 3D printer to make a model of someone's face.

A new gadget promises to eliminate the need for towels all together. The creators of the body dryer say it blows up superimposed air at strategic angles to push water away from the body. The developers claim it drys completely in 30 seconds or less. The body dryer has reached its target on Indiegogo and you can get one for a pledge of $150.
