ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A judge has set bail at $100,000 for a man accused in a crash that killed a 4-year-old girl and injured 14 people at a central Florida daycare center.
Prosecutors sought to raise 28-year-old Robert Corchado's bail to $250,000 during the Monday morning hearing. Corchado turned himself in to authorities Thursday, a day after they say his vehicle crashed into a convertible, sending it spinning into a KinderCare building in Winter Park.
Corchado testified in short answers during the hearing. He says he has three young children. The judge ordered him to stay in central Florida if he is released on bail and told him not to drive.
If Corchado is released, he would likely be arrested on violation of probation charges in neighboring Seminole County.
