RENO, Nev. (AP) — A man driving the wrong way on Interstate 580 in Reno collided head-on with another car early Saturday, killing himself and the other driver.
The Nevada Highway Patrol says alcohol is suspected as a factor in the 3:30 a.m. accident near the Plumb Lane exit.
According to troopers, a 22-year-old man heading southbound in the northbound lanes struck a car occupied by a 71-year-old male driver and a female passenger.
Their names were not immediately released.
Troopers say the passenger was taken to a Reno hospital with serious injuries.
