CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The driver and a passenger of a FedEx triple-trailer truck that crashed on Interstate 80 in northern Nevada have been identified as two Utah men.
Sixty-four-year-old Donald Layne Flora of Kearns, Utah, was killed when he lost control of the big-rig while trying to merge in a construction zone Friday in Winnemucca.
Nevada Highway Patrol Lt. Harold Hughes says Flora apparently hit orange barrels before the truck went off the road and rolled over.
A passenger, 66-year-old Stewart George Gunderson of Salt Lake City was injured.
Hughes on Wednesday said he didn't know the extent of Gunderson's injuries.
