I was watching KSL weather last fall (or winter?) and Mark was talking about the 1-day record snowfall for Utah which was in either late '83 or early ‘84.
I remember he talked about it in terms of a 24 hour total snowfall because the record was over the course of two calendar days. I remember being shocked by how much the total amount was, but I can't remember how many feet it was. Do you have that information?

The greatest 24 hour snow is 18.4 inches on October 17-18th of 1984 . Coming in with second place is 18.0 February 24-25th of 1998 inches of snow, perhaps you were remebering one of those?
Now, that's for Salt Lake, not the whole state. Clearly, places like Alta have higher 24 hour snow records than 18.9 inches! On February 9th of 1953 Kanosh had a 14 hour snow total of 34.0 inches.
In 1921, Silver Lake Colorado had a 24 hour snowfall total of 76 inches!
