OGDEN - The 2014 Big Sky champion Weber State men's basketball team took home three major honors Monday as the league announced its 2013-14 All-Conference team and individual award winners. WSU earned the conference MVP, Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year and had three players earn All-Conference honors.
Weber State senior Davion Berry was named the conference Most Valuable Player. Berry is the eighth player in Weber State history to earn Big Sky MVP honors and the Wildcats have earned the MVP trophy five times in the last eight years. Berry was also a unanimous selection to the All-Conference First Team, the second-straight season he has earned first team honors.
The senior from Oakland, Calif., has been WSU's top performer all year long. He has led the Wildcats in scoring 19 times during the season, including 15 of the last 16 games. He ranks third in the Big Sky in scoring at 19.2 points per game and was second in scoring in Big Sky games at 20.2 per game. He scored in double figures in 26 of WSU's 28 games and scored 20 or more 18 times. He has scored 538 points this season, the 21st most in a season in WSU history.
Berry also ranks fifth in the league in assists at 4.0 per game and is eighth in free throw percentage. He also leads the Wildcats in steals and assist to turnover ratio. He has played in 65 career games in his two seasons at Weber State and currently ranks 19th in scoring in WSU history with 1,102 career points. He has a career scoring average of 17.0 points per game.

Jeremy Senglin was named the Big Sky Freshman of the Year, becoming the fifth player in Weber State history to earn the honor. WSU has earned the award in three of the last six years.
The Arlington, Texas native leads all freshmen in the conference in scoring at 11.3 points per game. He started all 28 games for the Wildcats this season and became the first true Wildcat freshman to start the season opener since 1976.
Senglin has scored in double figures 19 times during the season, the second most of any Wildcat. He also leads the Wildcats in 3-point field goal percentage and 3-pointers per game. He has knocked down 57 3-pointers this year, the most of any Wildcat, and is third on the team in assists.
Joel Bolomboy is just the second Wildcat ever to be named conference Defensive Player of the Year. He also earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors for the first time in his career.
The sophomore out of Fort Worth, Texas led the Big Sky and currently ranks fifth in the nation in rebounding at 10.9 per game. He averaged 11.7 rebounds per game in Big Sky Conference games. Bolomboy reached double figures in rebounding 20 times this season, including all but three Big Sky games.
Bolomboy also recorded a Big Sky-best 10 double-doubles during the season with nine double-doubles coming in conference games. He averaged 8.8 points per game and shot nearly 50 percent from the field. He also ranks eighth in the conference in blocked shots.
In two years with the Wildcats, Bolomboy has recorded 557 rebounds in 64 career games, good for a career rebounding average of 7.8 per game. He currently ranks 16th in Weber State history in career rebounds.
Kyle Tresnak earned second team All-Conference honors for the second straight season. The senior from Scottsdale, Ariz., ranks second on the Wildcat team in scoring at 11.3 points per game. He scored in double figures 15 points and reached 20 or more points four times. He leads the Big Sky in blocked shots at 1.9 per game and is third in the conference in field goal percentage at 59.8 percent. He has recorded 53 blocks this season, the fifth most in a season in WSU history.
Tresnak has played in 128 career games and started 96 career games. He is the only player in Weber State history to reach 1,000 career points, 500 career rebounds and 100 career blocked shots. He currently ranks second in WSU history in career blocks with 123 and is 14th in career scoring and 23rd in career rebounding.
The Wildcats will host the Big Sky Tournament this weekend in Ogden, with Weber State playing the lowest remaining seed in the tournament Friday.
