LAS VEGAS (AP) — A North Las Vegas woman accused of tying her 4-year-old daughter to a bedpost for up to 12 hours a day has been ordered to 13 years to life in prison.
Laketha Chris Moore was sentenced Monday, after pleading guilty to child abuse and kidnapping charges in November.
The 37-year-old single mother has been in jail since March, when apartment managers found the girl locked in a bedroom with only a plastic tote bin for a toilet.
Moore told investigators that she'd been leaving her daughter home alone for more than a month while she went to work on weekdays and to church on Sundays.
