LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified a 3-year-old boy who police say may have been drowned in a bathtub by his mother.

Clark County coroner's officials say Noah Lane Allen was pronounced dead at Sunrise Hospital after being taken there Saturday evening. An official cause of death has not been released.

Police Lt. Ken Romine says the boy's mother, 30-year-old Christine Allen, called 911 just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Firefighters tried to resuscitate Noah at the home in Rock Springs Vista Condos, near Buffalo and Vegas Drive, but he later died.

A preliminary investigation indicates Allen may have been experiencing a medical crisis when she allegedly drowned the boy in the bathtub.

No other children were home at the time.

Allen was jailed and scheduled for a court appearance Monday.
