SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — A Sparks man accused of strangling a woman and endangering a child has turned himself in to police.
Police say 27-year-old Andrew Dovichi was booked into the Washoe County jail on Sunday on suspicion of domestic battery, false imprisonment and child endangerment.
His bail was set at $37,500.
Police said they were called to a business about 4:20 a.m. Saturday to meet with a woman who said Dovichi attacked her at her home on F Street.
She told investigators he beat her after she accused him of infidelity.
She said her 10-month-old child was still in the home.
Police forced their way into the home after they heard the child crying, but Dovichi was gone. He surrendered to police Sunday morning.
