WEST POINT, Utah (AP) — Davis County sheriff's deputies have arrested two people in connection with a standoff at a home in West Point. A SWAT team was dispatched and began negotiations with the suspects that lasted about four hours before a total of five people surrendered. They arrested a male and a female on drug charges. No other details have been released.

CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) — Sheriff's deputies in Iron County are investigating the death of a 51-year-old man found outside of Cedar City Saturday. The Deseret News reports the man's body was located seven miles west of Cedar City near state Route 56 and Iron Springs Road in an area known as the "iron mines." The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of family.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Senate has approved a change in the state's abortion laws so that in cases where the woman's life is at risk she could undergo the procedure without first having to watch a state-mandated video on alternatives and read information about adoption. It passed the Senate on Friday and now awaits consideration in the House.

MOAB, Utah (AP) — Authorities in southeast Utah say they have a suspect in the theft of a fossilized dinosaur footprint on public land. A search and rescue team in Grant County has launched a search in the Colorado River near Moab for the ancient track that was cut last month from the sandstone on the Hell's Revenge Trail in the Sand Flats Recreation Area.
