WEST POINT, Utah (AP) — Davis County sheriff's deputies have arrested two people in connection with a standoff at a home in West Point.

Sheriff Todd Richardson says officers responded to a report of shots fired at the home about 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

He tells KSL-TV (http://tinyurl.com/moc6p2y ) that deputies heard another shot when they arrived on scene and saw people entering the house.

A SWAT team was dispatched and began negotiations with the suspects that lasted about four hours before a total of five people surrendered.

Richardson says they arrested a male and a female on drug charges. Both are in their mid-20s but no other details have been released.

He says the incident remains under investigation.
