KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — Malaysia Airlines says a rumors that its missing plane with 239 people aboard had landed are not true. The jetliner -- a Boeing 777-200 -- was on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. An airline spokesman says the plane was flying at an altitude of 35,000 feet and that the pilots reported no problem. Some relatives have gathered at a hotel in Beijing to await word of the flight.

NEW YORK (AP) — Boeing's much-delayed 787 Dreamliner has another production problem. Hairline cracks have been discovered in the wings of some 787s that are being built. But Boeing says none of the 122 jets already flown by airlines around the world are affected.

KEY LARGO, Fla. (AP) — The White House says President Barack Obama has consulted with German Chancellor Angela Merkel (AHN'-geh-lah MEHR'-kuhl) about the crisis in Ukraine, where Russian troops seized control of the Crimea region on Saturday. Obama telephoned Merkel after he arrived in Key Largo, Florida. He's there on a weekend getaway with his family.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) —More details are emerging about a South Carolina woman accused of trying to kill her three children on Tuesday by driving into the surf at Daytona Beach, Fla. According to an affidavit, the children told detectives that Ebony Wilkerson had been "acting crazy and speaking to Jesus." The children were rescued by officers and others on the beach.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — A federal jury in Youngstown, Ohio, has convicted a couple of enslaving a mentally disabled woman for two years. Prosecutors say Jordie Callahan and his girlfriend Jessica Hunt kept the woman and her young child in locked, dark basement and threatened both with a python and pit bulls. Prosecutors say the woman was forced to cook and clean up after their dog. She was also sexually abused.
