PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The public library in Eugene is adding a few rules — and dropping some — to stay up to date.
For example, it's saying that e-cigarettes are out, and "mobile devices" are on the list of things to keep at low volume. Mobile stereos, though, are off the list — nobody lugs those around these days.
Library Director Connie Bennett tells the Eugene Register-Guard (http://bit.ly/1ouMY76 ) the library wants to be transparent and clear, making sure that the language of the rules matches how librarians enforce them.
