HAYDEN LAKE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say three people have been injured in northern Idaho after heavy runoff washed out a road and two vehicles drove into the 10-foot wide, 8-foot deep gap.
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded about 3 a.m. Thursday and found that a culvert under a road near Hayden Lake had washed out.
Authorities say a southbound Toyota Camry and a northbound Toyota Sienna van drove into the hole.
Authorities say the drivers of both vehicles plus a passenger in the van were transported to Kootenai Health with non-life threatening injuries.
Crews are working to repair the road.
