DRAPER, Utah (AP) — Authorities have found two of the four teen boys who ran away from a center for troubled teens in Draper. Police say an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old boy were found at an Orem gas station yesterday, less than a day after vanishing from the Genesis Youth Center. Police Lt. Craig Martinez says a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old are still missing.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A state House committee has approved a bill to strengthen penalties against cockfighting. Bill sponsor Sen. Gene Davis of Salt Lake City says Utah is the only Western state where cockfighting isn't a felony. Some game fowl breeders say the bill is vague enough that they could be penalized for raising birds for show.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Protesters pushing for Utah to adopt a statewide anti-discrimination law protecting sexual and gender orientation returned to the state Capitol yesterday to advocate for their cause. Republican Legislative leaders have called for a moratorium on any issues they fear could affect the state's pending legal challenge over its same-sex marriage ban.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Marine Corps special operations unit will be swooping into Utah in August to conduct a nighttime urban training mission. Maj. Gen Jeffrey Buffu says much of the training will take place at Camp Williams, but other exercises will happen Aug. 19 at Unified Fire Authority's training center in Magna or on land owned by ATK.
