— PRETORIA, South Africa — Oscar Pistorius asked a friend to take the blame after a pistol was accidentally fired in a Johannesburg restaurant weeks before the double-amputee runner fatally shot his girlfriend, a witness testified Wednesday at Pistorius' murder trial.

— DORAL, Fla. — One week into the Florida swing, there's plenty of drama — Tiger Woods and his back spasms, a brand new Blue Monster that is no longer called the Blue Monster, and new owner Donald Trump taking the stage. By the way, there's a World Golf Championship that starts Thursday.

— DORAL, Fla. — Donald Trump loves his new golf course at Doral, or Trump National Doral as its now known, and wasn't afraid to say so Wednesday on the eve of the Cadillac Championship on the rebuilt Blue Monster. "When we started to uncover the land, we found a treasure," Trump says.

—NHL teams were busy in the days leading up to today's trade deadline, trying to make moves to get in a better position for the playoffs in the hopes of hoisting the Stanley Cup.
