CompTIA Executive to Lead Panel at Recurring Revenue Network Summit
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., March 5, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --CompTIA,
the leading non-profit association for the information technology (IT)
industry, announced today its president and chief executive officer,
Todd Thibodeaux, will lead a panel session at the inaugural Recurring
Revenue Network Summit this spring.
More than 200 industry leaders are expected at the Recurring Revenue
Network Summit, scheduled for April 9-11 at the Langham Hotel in
Pasadena, Calif. The Summit will showcase the recurring revenue
strategies and tactics of industry leaders from the IT, physical
security and control/AV sectors.
Thibodeaux will moderate a panel on "The RMR Revolution in Network
Monitoring & Management for Homes & Small Businesses." He'll be joined
by:
-- Joe Mercadante, president, JPMerc & Co., Westborough, Mass., a
provider of IT consulting and support solutions to small and midsized
businesses (SMBs).
-- Steve Burgess, chief executive officer, Guidant Partners,
Nashville, Tenn., a full-service provider of managed IT services and
solutions.
-- Steve Firestone, president, Select Security, Lancaster, Pa., one of
the fastest growing independent security companies in the country.
The session is scheduled for 8-9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 10.
Research by CompTIA and other organizations show a greater willingness
to rely on managed services providers for their technology needs. In
CompTIA's most recent study on the market, nearly 60 percent of
companies with less than $10 million in annual revenues were using
managed services.
"Small businesses are embracing the idea of a more sensible approach
to their IT systems and networks, where a trusted source cares for
keeping their hardware and networks up and provides for appropriate
storage, security and back-up, all for a monthly fee," Thibodeaux
said. "We'll examine the best practices in product and service
configuration, pricing strategy, sales and financing which solution
providers can use to launch or enhance their recurring revenue
business."
The Recurring Revenue Network Summit is organized by the Recurring
Revenue Network, a resource dedicated to helping A/V, control, IT and
physical security integrators achieve high valuations in the new era
of technology solution convergence.
