LAS VEGAS (AP) — A man accused of stealing 18 guns from an eastern Utah store over the summer has been arrested by an FBI task force in Nevada. Roosevelt police say Raymond Livingston is due in court today after his arrest Monday stemming from the burglary of Stewart's Marketplace last June. Police tell the Deseret News there was a break in the case when three of the guns were recovered in the Las Vegas area, including one during a traffic stop and two during violent felonies.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A group of Republicans has come out in support of legalizing gay marriage in Utah and Oklahoma. Led by former Sen. Alan Simpson of Wyoming, the group argues that allowing same-sex unions is consistent with the Western conservative values of freedom and liberty once championed by Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah travelers will soon be able to qualify for expedited security screenings at the Salt Lake City airport. The TSA announced yesterday a new enrollment center for the agency's Pre-Check program at Salt Lake City International Airport's Terminal 1. Approved travelers can keep shoes, outwear and belts on, keep laptops in their cases and carry-on approved liquids and gels in bags.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Gov. Gary Herbert has appointed a new member of the Utah State Board of Education. Terryl Warner will fill the District 1 seat vacated by Tami Pyfer, who resigned in January to become the governor's education adviser. Warner is the current director of victim services for the Cache County Attorney's Office.
