COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An official from Wayne State University in Detroit has been chosen by Ohio State University to oversee the central fundraising staff at one of the nation's largest public universities.
The school in Columbus says David Ripple is expected to start work May 5 as Ohio State's vice president of development. His appointment is pending approval from Ohio State trustees.
Ripple is president of the Wayne State University Foundation and has served as the school's vice president of development and alumni affairs for several years.
He joins Ohio State in the midst of its $2.5 billion fundraising campaign expected to end in 2016.
