MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Kareem Jamar scored 25 points, hauled in 10 rebounds and dished out seven assists, helping Montana thwart Southern Utah 82-54 on Saturday night.

The Grizzlies (15-11, 10-7 Big Sky) shot 55.6 percent from the field and were 11 of 23 from beyond the arc. Jamar went 10 of 14 on field goals and 3 of 5 from deep. Michael Weisner chipped in 17 points and Chris Kemp added 10.

Southern Utah (1-26, 0-18) stumbled to 18-of-54 shooting (33.3 percent). A.J. Hess had 13 points with seven boards and Trey Kennedy added 10 points.

Montana led 18-12 at the midway mark in the first half, but surged ahead, closing the period on a 26-9 run capped by 3-pointers from Jamar and Brandon Gfeller to lead 44-21 at halftime. The Grizzlies coasted in the second half, pushing the lead to 34 late.
