This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

At Wazi Technical Solutions, they believe that knowledge is power. That's why their name is so significant. "Wazi" is a Zulu word for knowledge.

Since their inception, company president John Pohlman says WaziTech has grown exponentially, 20 percent in the last two years alone. They're up to 12 employees. And they have stayed true to their focus on problem solving, teaching and educating customers within the IT businesses of all sizes across the state of Utah.

Wazi Technical Solutions has a tri focus on IT services, network security and virtualization, with highly-skilled technicians on board. As a proactive company, they believe in taking an open approach to their work. This means they're willing to teach while they fix a problem, so you know exactly what they're doing while they're doing it. They've even had clients ask techs to project their work on a big screen so they can watch them work.

They've helped numerous companies make the switch from a brick and mortar-based system to cloud-based security, which John says is even safer. Wazi Technical Solutions has also developed a niche in the real estate market, helping title companies comply with new regulations through the American Land and Title Association.

They've dealt with many kinds of problems over their company history. For example, a company was doing an IT analysis to get a system in place, and before the system could be set up, they got hacked. In another case a school district couldn't figure out why their network was running so slowly, until they discovered their network had been compromised, and they were sending mass amounts of spam. A financial institution didn't realize their website had been misconfigured so private information entered into the site was easily accessible.

These guys will go the distance to fix a problem. It's not uncommon for Wazi Technical Solutions to get up in the middle of the night, work or weekends or on holidays to resolve IT issues. A great example of why Utah has been named one of the most tech savvy states in the nation.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
