INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - John McEnroe wins PowerShares QQQ Challenge on Friday night, beating Jim Courier 6-3 at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The 54-year-old McEnroe won the PowerShares Series event a night after losing 7-5 to Andy Roddick _ 24 years his junior _ in Birmingham, Ala. McEnroe won in Kansas City, Mo., on Feb. 5 and has reached the finals of all four events this season.
In the semifinals, McEnroe beat Ivan Lendl 6-4, and Courier topped Mark Philippoussis 7-5.
