MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - An all-male dance squad that wore skimpy Santa costumes during a Christmas parade in Alabama has been asked not to show up for a New Year's Eve procession.
AL.com ( http://bit.ly/18Kbpvq) reported Tuesday that the Downtown Mobile Alliance rescinded an invitation for the Prancing Elites to perform at the Moon Pie Over Mobile parade after the group's performance in the southwest town of Semmes.
Performers wore snug white shorts under hip-high Santa jackets as they performed a gyrating dance routine some considered inappropriate for the setting.
The group's 26-year-old captain, Kentrell Collins, says members are crushed over being booted from the parade.
Their agent, Suzanne Massingill, says the event's organizers wouldn't reconsider, despite an offer to wear jogging suits.
