LOGAN (AP) — Spencer Butterfield scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Utah State to a 77-71 victory over UC Santa Barbara in overtime Friday night.
After trailing by three at the break, UCSB came back in the second period on an 11-3 run to lead 49-39 at 9:23.
Butterfield hit a 3-pointer at 6:57 to bring the Aggies (8-2) to within three and a layup near the two-minute mark to tie the score 62-62. A Marcel Davis free throw gave the lead back to the Aggies with 44 seconds remaining.

Kyle Boswell hit a 3-pointer to put the Gauchos back up 65-63 with 41 seconds remaining and the Aggies' Kyle Davis sank a tip shot to tie the game and send it into overtime.
Butterfield's seven points made the difference in overtime to give the edge to Utah State.
Boswell led the Gauchos (6-4) with 27 points.
