The Lion House Rolls are world famous! But they have plenty of other tasty treats perfect for the holidays.
Chef Mitchell Sampson shared the popular and delicious sugar cookie recipe.
2 Cups Granulated Sugar
1/4 Cup Invert Sugar
1 Cup Butter
3 eggs
Cream together, and then add the following:
2 Cups Sour Cream
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Lemon extract
Mix together carefully, then add:
6 1/2 Cups Flour
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 1/4 tbs. Baking Powder
Mix together until well incorporated. Roll out 1/8 of an inch thick, cut out to desired shape and bake at 300 degrees. WATCH CLOSE, AND DO NOT OVER BAKE!! They should have just a little golden brown around the bottom edge.
Makes six dozen cookies.
