It's no wonder business owner Tamara England named her newest boutique, Over the Moon on Main Street in Bountiful. This shop has one-of-kind baby clothes, shoes, cribs and the Vera Bradley children's line that you have to see to believe. Besides being the perfect store for moms, Tamara calls this her grandma store, meaning grandmas will love coming to spoil their grandkids. The timing of the opening of Over the Moon is just perfect for the holidays where you can find outfits that are unique.
Over the Moon is the place you'll find unique gift items for babies and toddlers. Like locally-made original baby quilts. They feature specialty clothing that includes: Zutano (zoo-tan-oh), a mix and match line with leggings, sweaters and little jackets that all coordinate; Kickypants, a line made all of bamboo, which is a hot trend right now; They have an organic line called Winter Waterfactory; and Bloch Shoes for your little dancers. This baby store has a great travel crib by Baby Bjourn (bee-yorn), plus they have an electronic rocker named 4 Moms by manufacturer Mamaroo. You can hook your iPod to the outlet of the rocker for soothing music and it features five different settings. For example one is car ride, kangaroo, tree swing, rock-a-bye and ocean wave.
Designer Vera Bradley also has a whole girl's baby line and will be releasing a line for boys in the spring. Of course Over the Moon will carry both lines. They also offer personal service and will do gift wrap and have gift boxes on hand. Tamara England, the owner, says opening Over the Moon has been a great project, and she enjoyed every minute.
Over the Moon is also an important part of the Bountiful Main Street revitalization. The shop is bucking the trend for Main Street by staying open until 7 p.m. They're hoping other businesses will follow her lead and turn Main Street in Bountiful into a well- known shopping destination.
