(AP) - Grambling's athletic department made headlines after the school's football players staged a boycott because of issues with university leaders, disgusted at what they saw as rundown facilities, needless long bus trips to road games and questionable personnel decisions. Most of the problems were blamed on budget issues. A survey by The Associated Press found Grambling ranks 6th out of 10 Southwestern Athletic Conference schools with a $6.7 million budget, which is slightly less than the league's $7.1 million average. Here are the projected 2013-14 budgets for each SWAC school (in millions):
