SALT LAKE CITY — Due to Notre Dame football on NBC, Game Night Live did not air this week at its regularly scheduled time at 6 p.m. Saturday on KSL 5. That doesn't mean we took the week off.
You can watch this week's highlights right here. We started with some big numbers put up in Riverton's 72-50 win over Lehi. Both teams combined for 1,044 yards rushing.
The Game of the Week featured No. 1 Bingham and No. 2 Brighton in a matchup of undefeated 5A teams. The Miners rallied from an early 14-7 deficit to defeat the Bengals 38-27. Bingham running back Scott Nichols rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns.
Dixie won the battle of 3AA powerhouses in St. George knocking off Desert Hills 27-7. The win moves the Flyers to 3-0 in region play.
Woods Cross went on the road and stunned Highland 41-21 in Region 6 play, giving the Wildcats sole possession of second place.
Corner Canyon has clinched a playoff berth in their first season of existence thanks to a 20-13 overtime win over Skyline. The Chargers are now 4-0 in Region 7 and can clinch at least a share of the region title with a win this week over Orem.
Manti handed Richfield their first loss of the season by a score of 36-27. Kamron Fowles led the Templars with 135 yards rushing and three touchdowns.
