ST. LOUIS (AP) - Linebacker Patrick Willis and cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha were inactive for the San Francisco 49ers against the St. Louis Rams.
Running back Isaiah Pead was somewhat of a surprise scratch for the Rams on Thursday night, with Daryl Richardson returning from a left foot injury. Pead played most of the game last week and had not been on the injury list.
Willis (groin) and Asomugha (groin) did not practice this week. The 49ers also were without linebacker Aldon Smith, placed on the reserve non-football injury list as he enters rehab for substance abuse.
San Francisco wide receiver Kyle Williams (rib/knee), safety Raymond Ventrone (concussion) and tight end Vernon Davis (shoulder) were active after being listed as questionable.
