SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze will travel to Denver, CO today to practice with the Colorado Crush as a part of both teams' training camps. This will be the first opportunity for Blaze head coach/general manager DANNY WHITE and the coaching staff to see the 2008 team against an opponent.
"I think this will be a very productive trip for the team," White said. "It will allow our guys to hit somebody else, and it will give the coaching staff a chance to see what we really have."
The Blaze will have a practice session on Tuesday at the South Suburban Sports Dome with the Crush from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. (MT) and a practice session on Wednesday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. (MT). The teams are slated to scrimmage at sometime during the Wednesday practice before returning to Salt Lake City that afternoon.
The Blaze currently have 36 players on the active squad and are required to get down to 24 players by Saturday, February 23.
