Pop superstar JENNIFER LOPEZ has been parodied in the latest novel by Latin writer ALISA VALDES-RODRIGUEZ.

Entertainment journalist-turned-novelist Valdes-Rodriguez's third book MAKE HIM LOOK GOOD tells of a character named JILL SANCHEZ, a 'media-manic Latina star' who bears striking similarities to J.Lo.

In the novel, Sanchez is "the first woman to simultaneously have a top-rated movie, album, and perfume in a single week" and is engaged to "the boyishly handsome and patently non-Hispanic actor and screenwriter JACK INGROFF".

Sanchez's ex-boyfriends include a rapper named D-KITTY, who was dumped by the beauty after "some dudes in his crew" shot another rapper.

An extract from the book reads, "The public seems to have forgotten all about how the gun was found stashed beneath her very own seat in the Escalade limo, or about how she'd worn a bandanna around her head like a gang member."

Lopez enjoyed a two-year relationship with rap mogul SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS, which ended shortly after the couple were arrested following a shooting at a New York nightclub in December 2000. Lopez was released without charge, and Combs went on to clear his name over gun possession and bribery charges.

Meanwhile, the character of Jack Ingroff appears to allude to Lopez's ex-fiance, actor, BEN AFFLECK, who won an Oscar for his GOOD WILL HUNTING script.

Valdes-Rodriguez admits, "(Sanchez is meant) to embody celebrity in general. There are some anecdotes in there based on experiences that I or people I knew had with Jennifer Lopez." (ES/DSD/JB)
