NASCAR suspends Maycroft for substance violation

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - NASCAR crew member Eric Maycroft has been indefinitely suspended for violating the sanctioning body's substance abuse policy.

Maycroft works in the Sprint Cup series. He was found on Aug. 16 to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of the NASCAR Substance Abuse Policy) of the 2013 NASCAR Rule Book.
