NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City real estate heir who admitted killing his neighbor in Texas a decade ago has had another run-in with the law.
Police say Robert Durst was arrested Friday outside his Harlem home on a trespassing violation. They say the 70-year-old son of real estate mogul Seymour Durst showed up at his brother's midtown Manhattan home in June after being told to stay away.
In 2001, Durst was arrested as a fugitive and admitted killing his neighbor in Texas and dumping the remains into Galveston Bay. He claimed self-defense and was acquitted of homicide charges.
Durst hasn't returned a phone message. His New York lawyer's name is unavailable. His Texas lawyer declines to comment.
Durst's family runs The Durst Organization, a privately held billion-dollar real estate company that owns several New York skyscrapers.
