ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - The Toronto Blue Jays have activated pitcher J.A. Happ from the bereavement list and placed infielder Munenori Kawasaki on the paternity list.
The moves were announced before Friday night's game against Tampa Bay.
Happ is scheduled to start the game Saturday night against the Rays. The left-hander suffered a skull fracture and sprained right knee when he fell to the ground after getting hit with a liner by Desmond Jenningson on May 7.
It's his first return to Tropicana Field since getting hurt. It will be his third start overall since returning from the disabled list.
Happ was on the three-day bereavement list after the death of his grandfather.
